Early Childhood Class
Sabrina Ice

My name is Mrs. Sabrina Ice.  I am the Pre-Kindergarten teacher and the director of the Early Childhood program. Teaching is a passion of mine and I especially love teaching the children at St. Joseph school.

I have lived in Princeton most of my life. I attended St. Joseph School first grade through 8th grade. I went to Princeton Community High School and earned my Child Development Association (CDA) from Ivy Tech. I am the youngest of five children. I have three sisters and one brother.

I am married to my high school sweetheart, Shon. We have a daughter, Eva, who is in sixth grade, a son, Ean, who is in second and Darla, our 3-year-old schnauzer. They take up most of my free time, but some of the things I enjoy doing is working in my yard, swimming in the summer and finding new ways to help my children learn in my class.

The 2019-2020 school year will be my 23rd year at St. Joseph School, teaching Pre-K. I absolutely love teaching Pre-K! It is my mission to instill a love of learning in my students. I attempt to teach with a passion for my students to become life long learners. I want them to have the same experience I had when I went to St. Joseph school as a child. This is not just a job for me. It was a life long dream of mine and I have loved every minute of it.

I look forward to many more years teaching at St. Joseph School.

Hello, my name is Erica Hill, this is my second year as the preschool teacher here at St. Joseph Catholic School but have 17 years' experience in early childhood education. I am so excited to meet you and to get to know your little one. I know we will have a fun, educational, and overall great year.

I moved a few times growing up (My dad worked for an oil company) but landed in Princeton my junior year of high school at PCHS. I renewed my child development accreditation (CDA) through Ivy tech but also stay current on best practices in early education by attending conferences and training online. Being a lifelong learner is important to me. I love to learn new techniques that I can use in my classroom.

My favorite activities outside of the classroom include, traveling anywhere there is water, the beach, or a lake. Spending time with my family is especially important to me.

I met my husband my junior year of high school. Rusty and I have been married 27 years. We have a 19-year-old daughter who will be entering her sophomore year of college. She is also interested in teaching but will focus on High school Algebra.

I love teaching and believe the preschool age is the perfect age to impact a child’s life in a very positive way, introducing them to the classroom for the first time. I am looking forward to many more years.
